"The Life Impossible" by Matt Haig

La Vida Imposible. This is a beautiful story about how it is never too late to change your mind and to live life differently.

This book follows Grace, a retired math teacher, mother of a son who died in a tragic accident, and wife of a husband who has also died. After the death of their son, Grace cheated on her husband just to feel something again, and since then has denied herself any joy in life. Grace's old friend from many years ago, dies and leaves her a small house in Spain. This one small thing changes the whole trajectory of Grace's life.

Grace arrives in Spain with the intention of selling the house and returning home to her sad, lonely life. She finds that everything she knew about life may not be true. Grace is forced to confront her beliefs and to view life from a more open-minded perspective.

The book is written as a letter from Grace to one of her former students. It is a fun read, full of possibility and discovery. Grace allows herself to transform and for her life to be different and exciting. She learns that age is not limiting, mindset is.

I love this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who is willing to see the possibility in life and to grasp opportunities. Or maybe I should recommend it to people who don't see the possibility in life so that they can open themselves up and be surprised by what life has to offer!
